Full-floating half axle: It is only responsible for transmitting
torque. The support, braking, steering and other forces of the
wheels are borne by the axle, making it suitable for heavy-load
scenarios.
Semi-floating half shaft: It needs to bear both torque and road
reaction force simultaneously. It has a compact structure but a
relatively low load capacity and is suitable for light-load
vehicles.
Adapt to complex road conditions
For some models (such as four-wheel drive vehicles), the half
shafts need to be matched with universal joints (such as constant
velocity universal joints) to maintain continuous power
transmission when the wheels are bouncing up and down or turning,
thereby enhancing driving stability.
